A Murky Etheree, Laura Gerges

Black

more brown

brownish black

cover me in

yellow waterfalls.

Look beyond my dark soul

dare to lick my tarty back

lest you discover slavery

oozes out of your ancestors’ pores

exposing your lingering bloody past.
