Introducing the Editorial Team for Issue #15 of The Quarry!
Robert Ewings
Editor and Project Coordinator
Robert is working through a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Creative Writing and Philosophy. He is currently the president of the Writers Society at Macquarie and is looking to build on his writing and editing skills to work in the novel publishing industry. That is, if he doesn’t write a best-seller before then.

Jodie Ramodien
Digital Content Management and Social Media Team
Jodie Ramodien is a writer based in Sydney. She is the Features and Creatives editor of Grapeshot Magazine, was an editor, designer, digital content manager, and social media coordinator on Issue #12 and Issue #15 of The Quarry Journal, and has various articles published online. She knows all things Romance.

Aylish Dowsett
Editor and Social Media Team
Aylish studies Creative Writing at Macquarie University, in Sydney. She works as a Content Creator and has had her writing published in issue #14 and #15 of The Quarry. Originally from the UK, Aylish is a writer of fantasy fiction, with a love of all things weird and British.

Claire Oxley

Claire is nearly finished her degree in creative writing and anthropology, and no, doesn’t have a plan for next year. This issue of The Quarry houses her first published piece, with many more to come. With a persisting passion for writing, her very stable and lucrative (hm) career in the arts has officially begun.

Emily Redknap
Editor
Emily is about to complete her degree in Creative Writing at Macquarie University. She has a great passion for writing and often wonders when she can refer to herself as a writer. She has two short stories and a poem published as part of a writing competition as well as her capstone piece, which was published in issue twelve of The Quarry. She loves reading anything Kurt Vonnegut or Margaret Atwood and is very inspired by their work.

Matthew Leong

Matthew is about to finish his undergraduate degree in Creative Writing at Macquarie University. Inspired by the magical worlds of anime, Sarah J. Maas and Final Fantasy, he is currently working on what he hopes will be his first novel. Matthew aspires to one day work in the publishing industries of America or Canada.

Cain is a third year English and Creative Writing major set to graduate this year. She loves to write sci-fi/fantasy, poetry and everything in between. She is currently writing two novels and a poetry collection. She is looking to enter into the publishing industry in London, while working on her own novels on the side.

Sophie Ormshaw is a Western Sydney writer studying at Macquarie University with major of English and Creative Writing. She is currently in her last semester of University and plans to delve into the publishing industry when she graduates as she has a passion for helping authors produce the best work they can.

Montana Luppino is a Sydney writer studying English and creative writing at Macquarie University. She is a young, Italian writer who blends her heritage into her work. Luppino is a writer of young adult fiction with a love of myth, legend, folklore, fantasy and abstract ideas.

Gya is about to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Creative Writing and English. As the former president of Writers@Mq she has learned a lot about editing and working with emerging writers. Her goal is to encourage more non-native English writers to share their stories with the world. When she is not writing, Gya enjoys riding her jetski and jogging.
